Terms of Service

Effective date: April 2026 · Operated by FremTech AS, org.nr. 937 616 236, Norway

1. About these terms

These Terms of Service govern your use of Vibe Code (vibe-code.no), a code-sharing platform operated by FremTech AS (org.nr. 937 616 236), a company registered in Norway. By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to these Terms.

Vibe Code is a small, independently run platform. These terms are written to be straightforward and fair to both you and the operator. If something is unclear, you are welcome to reach out at contact@vibe-code.no.

2. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 16 years old to use Vibe Code. This reflects the minimum age for consent to data processing under Norwegian law (Personopplysningsloven §5).
  • By creating an account, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you meet the age requirement.
  • You may not impersonate another person or create an account on behalf of someone else without their permission.

3. Your account

  • You can create an account using a username and email/password, or by authenticating through GitHub.
  • You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. Vibe Code will never ask for your password via email or any other channel.
  • If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at contact@vibe-code.no.
  • You may delete your account at any time from Settings. See our Privacy Policy for details on what happens to your data.

4. Your content — ownership and licenses

Ownership

You retain full ownership (including copyright) of any code, snippets, tools, comments, or other material you upload to Vibe Code. Vibe Code does not claim ownership of anything you create or upload.

License to Vibe Code

By uploading content to Vibe Code, you grant Vibe Code a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, host, display, and transmit your content solely for the purpose of operating the platform and making it available to the users you have authorized. This license exists only for as long as your content remains on the platform. When you delete your content, this license ends.

License to other users

When you share a snippet or tool to a hub (team hub, professional hub, or other shared space), you grant the members of that hub a non-exclusive license to view, fork (copy and edit), and use that content within the platform. This does not transfer ownership. Content you keep private in your personal hub is not shared with or licensed to anyone else.

Your responsibility

You warrant that you have the legal right to upload and share everything you post on Vibe Code:

  • Do not upload code owned by your employer or a client without their explicit permission.
  • Do not upload code in violation of its license terms (e.g. proprietary code, or GPL-licensed code shared in a way that violates the GPL).
  • Do not upload content that infringes anyone else's intellectual property rights.

Vibe Code cannot verify the ownership or licensing of every piece of content uploaded. If you upload content you do not have the right to share, you bear the legal responsibility.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Vibe Code to:

  • Upload malware, ransomware, viruses, trojans, or any code designed to damage or gain unauthorized access to systems.
  • Upload credential harvesters, phishing pages, or social engineering tools disguised as code snippets.
  • Share working exploits targeting unpatched vulnerabilities in production systems, unless clearly marked as educational and with responsible disclosure already completed.
  • Harass, threaten, or abuse other users.
  • Post content that is illegal under Norwegian law or the law of your jurisdiction.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or private content.
  • Scrape, crawl, or bulk-download content from the platform without permission.
  • Create multiple accounts to circumvent rate limits or bans.

Security research tools, CTF challenge code, and educational exploit demonstrations are welcome on the platform, provided they are clearly labelled as such and do not target live systems without authorization.

Violations of this section may result in content removal, account suspension, or permanent bans, at the operator's discretion. If we believe content poses an imminent threat, we may also report it to relevant authorities, including the Norwegian National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC-NO).

6. Hubs and moderation

  • Personal hubs: Your personal hub is your space. You control what you upload and who can see it.
  • Team hubs:Hub owners and admins may remove content from their hub and manage membership. This does not delete the original content from the author's account — it only removes it from that hub.
  • Comment moderation: Snippet owners can delete comments on their own snippets. Comment authors can delete their own comments at any time.
  • Professional hubs:Intended for work or client use. Content you create directly in a professional hub belongs to that hub. If you delete your account, that content remains in the hub and is attributed to "Deleted user" — you can choose to delete it during the account deletion flow. The hub owner acts as the data controller for content in that hub; Vibe Code acts as a data processor. A Data Processing Agreement (DPA) applies and is available on request.

7. Reporting and takedown

If you believe content on Vibe Code infringes your copyright, violates a license, or otherwise breaches these Terms, contact us at contact@vibe-code.no and include:

  • A description of the content and its location (URL or snippet/hub name).
  • An explanation of why you believe it should be removed.
  • Your contact information.

We will review reports in good faith and aim to respond within a reasonable timeframe. As a one-person operation, this may take a few days. If your content is removed based on a report, you will be notified and given an opportunity to respond.

8. Responsible disclosure

If you discover a security vulnerability in the Vibe Code platform:

  • Report it to contact@vibe-code.no as soon as reasonably possible.
  • Give us a reasonable window (minimum 90 days) to address the issue before disclosing it publicly.
  • Do not exploit the vulnerability beyond what is necessary to confirm it exists, and do not access, modify, or delete other users' data.
  • Do not use automated scanning tools against production systems without prior written permission.

We commit to acknowledging your report within 5 business days, keeping you informed of progress, and not pursuing legal action against researchers who follow this policy in good faith. We do not currently operate a paid bug bounty program.

9. No warranty — code is shared "as is"

All code, snippets, and tools shared on Vibe Code are provided "as is", without any warranty — express or implied. Vibe Code does not review, test, or validate user-uploaded code. You should:

  • Read and understand code before executing it on your machine.
  • Run untrusted code in a sandboxed or isolated environment.
  • Not enter real credentials, API keys, or personal data into code you have not reviewed.

If you run, execute, or deploy code obtained from Vibe Code, you are solely responsible for the consequences.

10. Limitation of liability

Vibe Code is provided as a small-scale, independently operated service. To the maximum extent permitted by Norwegian law:

  • Vibe Code is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform.
  • Vibe Code is not liable for any loss of data, even though reasonable measures are taken to prevent it. Keep your own copies of anything important.
  • Vibe Code is not liable for the actions of other users, including content they upload or how they use forked code.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, willful misconduct, or anything else that cannot be excluded under Norwegian law.

11. Platform availability

Vibe Code is self-hosted in Norway. While we aim to keep the platform running reliably, there is no guaranteed uptime. Downtime for maintenance, updates, or unforeseen issues may occur. If the platform is shut down permanently, registered users will be given reasonable notice and an opportunity to export their data.

12. Privacy

Vibe Code does not use ads, tracking, or analytics. How personal data is handled is described in the separate Privacy Policy.

13. Changes to these terms

These Terms may be updated from time to time. When material changes are made, registered users will be notified by email or a notice on the platform. Continued use of Vibe Code after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree, you may delete your account.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by Norwegian law. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of Vibe Code shall be resolved by the courts of Norway. If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA, nothing in these Terms affects your mandatory consumer protection rights under the laws of your country of residence.
